"CARINA" Ceremonial Beeswax Flower Candle in Scallop Shell Lavender ONLINE EXCLUSIVE
This ceremonial candle showcases a multi-generational traditional craft from Teotitlan, Oaxaca.
These intricately designed candles are gifted in the pre-marriage ritual ,the moment in which a marriage proposal has been accepted.
For decades now these candles have been used for other family gathering ceremonies. Birthdays, Baptisms, Easter, Christmas, Weddings, etc.
The maestra handcrafts each candle from beeswax, using only natural dyes, heirloom clay molds passed down from her grandmother, and improvised tools from objects at hand. Candles are adorned with symbols representing birth, life and death; the flowers on this piece bestow light and luck to the married couple.
This is our two-tier CARINA candle. Perfect size to add a bit of charm to any space in your home. It's Gorgeous in #irl !!
This candle is handmade using beeswax and natural dyes. Please handle with care.
